Spotix, Inc. reserves the right to choose delivery type (parcel or freight), carrier, and service level of each shipment shipped via standard shipping. Standard shipping for smaller items uses FedEx or the USPS; larger items will be shipped via freight carrier. Once a shipment has a generated tracking number we are unable to change shipping addresses, speed of delivery, and time of delivery. Please contact our customer service department if you have any specific requirements for the delivery of a shipment.
All larger items shipped via freight carrier will require a signature at the time of delivery. You will be contacted by the freight company via the phone number you provided at the time of your order to set up a delivery time. Please provide us with a valid shipping address and phone number as we are not responsible for any storage or return shipping costs on merchandise not delivered due to the shipping company’s inability to contact a customer with the information provided to us. If the item is returned because the shipping company could not reach you the item will be subject to our regular return policies.
Please take note of the following information if you are receiving a delivery by freight shipment:
· When your order arrives verify that the pallet/piece count on the Bill of Lading (BOL) matches the number of pallets/pieces you receive.
o If a pallet/piece is missing note this on the BOL before you sign.
o Contact us immediately to let us know you are missing pallets/pieces.
· Inspect the package for external and internal/concealed damage.
o If external damage is found open the box and inspect for concealed damage before signing the BOL
o Mark on the BOL that there is damage before signing the BOL.
o If there is significant amounts of damage simply refuse the entire shipment and contact us immediately.
· Signing your BOL without noting any damages states that you have received your freight in good condition and the shipping company is released from any responsibility for damage.
