This lava rock contains a nice mixtures of sizes and natural shades of the dark earth, dark grays and blacks. It arrived in two convenient sized bags. The fire pit we installed is the 36" pan style with the the 21.5 x 21.5 High Capacity 290K Btu burner assembly in natural gas. For the look we were going for, to achieve a variable 3-½" to 3-¾" lava rock base for our log set required two bags or (2) Cubic Feet. The product appears to be out of Idaho.
